THE GAME:
Our Castle Is Running Away, My Lord! is a medieval classic tower defense with a twist: the castle that you have to protect is on the back of a giant and wayward chicken. So you have to move your towers, reposition them quickly, and run after your chicken! The game was made in 48 hours for the GMTK 2020, with the theme “Out of control”.

MY ROLE:
I did the UI conception, UI art, and UI integration on Unity. Because it’s a browser game, one of the main constraints was that the game could be played in windowed mode or full screen, with different ratios. To have big interfaces in windowed mode for better visibility, but have it smaller on full screen for esthetic, I found a trick: I created two canvas and I switch it with a breakpoint in a C# script. It gave me ideas to create one day a responsive plugin for Unity UI.
